Solemnity of Corpus Christi, May 30, 2013

Pope Francis celebrated the Corpus Christi Mass before the Basilica of St. John Lateran in Rome. After the Mass the Pope led the procession to the Basilica of St. Mary Major.

These pictures always drive me a little bit crazy (in a good way) because it just sort of hits you that this is Jesus, that He is here among on, on Earth, right now, next to us and with us and in us. He did not leave us alone. He is here. We are so unworthy, not even worthy to tie the laces of His sandals, but He is all loving, so loving that He gave us such an amazing gift and I just.

How to be a perfect student that is well organized ;)

  1. Get an adequate backpack that will hold all your homework, textbooks, etc. Having a backpack that is too small or doesn’t have enough compartments will NOT help you stay organized. Get one with at least three zippers and a side pouch for a water.
  2. Get the supplies that you don’t have. For example, if you need a red pen for science, but you keep having to borrow your teacher’s pen, purchase your own. They are not expensive and that way you wont have to use your teacher’s. An average school will require you to have a pencil, pens (red and black), highlighters,2” binder with six dividers, paper, and a good attitude.
  3. Try to get a planner. Use your planner to write down homework, test/deadlines, after school activities, etc.
  4. Have a good attitude. Do you really think having a bad attitude toward school is going to help you succeed? You have to go to school until you graduate high school so you might as well make the best of it. Having good friends and getting on the good side of teachers will definitely help you succeed.
  5. Have a great day of school and don’t worry, don’t cry, and don’t forget to smile!
  6. Do your homework, even if it doesn’t count for points. It’s assigned for a reason.
  7. Try to have a good social life. Then there will be less stress and you will do better.
Warnings:
  • Do not ever ditch school. Ditching will just get you into trouble and then you will have detention or worse.
  • Don’t hang out with the wrong crowd. If your friends are ditching, drunk, or drug addicts, that will not help you. Get supporting friends that are good people. You don’t have to hang out with nerds unless that’s your type. Hang out with people you’re comfortable with.
  • Do not just put a paper in the wrong folder because you dont feel like putting it in the right folder, if you go to find it later you will not find it.DO NOT START THIS HABIT!!

Things you will need:

  • Pencil/Pens
  • Highlighter
  • Eraser
  • Binder
  • Backpack
  • Lunch bag
